We’re all familiar with the phrase “leveling up.” We think of stepping up our game to meet the competition, or raise our personal expectations to meet those of a mentor or successful colleagues.
There is such a thing as leveling down; Lowering our game to meet the competition, or worse yet, lowering our personal expectations to meet the expectation of someone we revere…even to our own detriment.
