I have recently learned how to select a ripe pineapple from the store! Tug at one of the top greens. If it comes out, it’s ready. If it doesn’t come out, move on to another pineapple.
And if anyone knows how to select a ripe watermelon from the store, please enlighten me. I haven’t figured that one out yet.

Good to know! As for how to tell if a watermelon is ripe, you can balance a straw(broom stray/hay straw) on top of a watermelon and if it rotates, the melon’s ripe.
Just knock on the watermelon. If it sounds hollow and not solid, it is ripe
