I recently attended an event and they had “sugar cubes.” (Not the ones that go in tea or coffee.) Each person who attended had a “sugar cube,” an envelope with their picture on it. In this envelope were messages from other attendees. On the last night of the conference I picked up my sugar cube filled with small pieces of paper expressing thoughts and feelings from other conference attendees.
I read sweet messages the following morning while sitting in an airport. I was filled to the brim with love and appreciation from these little notes.
The lost art of writing notes to those we love…we would do well to reignite this.
