I’m an honest person. I give honest answers. Even if it’s not the expected answer.
I had a few opportunities to give unexpected answers recently and the response was…well…it really wasn’t. haha I’m not kidding. After reflecting on the scenarios, my response was so unexpected people didn’t know how to respond and they didn’t. The conversation just died.
Most of us aren’t ready for an unexpected answer.
But it’s coming. From someone. Sometime.
How will you respond? Will you freeze? Stare? Leave? Let the conversation die? Or move through the awkward and fight to connect again?
