Lessons from a Prius

I rented a Prius. I loved the efficiency and gas savings, but the delay between pressing the gas pedal and take off was measurable. There’s not an ounce of pickup!

Some people are like that too. They hit the gas and it doesn’t look like anything is happening or changing. There’s a measurable gap between “going” and actually moving. It’s usually in that gap where onlookers doubt. If you’re the kind of person with a measurable gap between pressing the gas pedal and seeing results, stay with it. Keep the gas pedal down. You’ll move forward, things will start happening.

Sometimes it takes a bit to switch from eco-mode to firing on all cylinders.
