Plan to feel bad.

I had an erroneous assumption that if I got “enough” sleep that when my alarm went off in the morning I would feel refreshed and pop out of bed. Maybe if I went to bed at 7pm that would be true, but it’s not a reality. Now that I’ve adjusted my expectations things are going much better!

I know I’m going to wake up every morning feeling like I got plowed over by a mack truck somewhere in my dreams. My body will hurt. I will feel so tired my face will hurt. I plan on it now.

And you know what, it’s a lot easier to get out of bed! I wake up and I’m already winning because my expectations are spot on. Score!

It’s all about setting proper expectations. What expectations of yours need to be adjusted?
