I came down with an intense head cold recently. I had myself convinced I was doing “everything” I could to kick it; water, hot tea, steam, herbs, vitamins, laying low on workouts. I mean, wasn’t that EVERYTHING? After a week I wasn’t much better. I re-evaluated.
Rest. I hadn’t slept more than 6.5 hours all week. That was foolish.
The night I got close to 8 hours was the turning point.
Sometimes we’re so bull-headed that we think we know it all, or that we’ve got it figured out, or that what we’re doing is the right thing, but when the results prove otherwise, it’s time to go to school.
Be quicker about it than I was.
