I’ve recently sent some important emails where I pause just before I send and think all these thoughts…
Is this the right way to word that?
Could this be better?
Am I too much of this and not enough of that?
Am I friendly, but not too friendly?
Professional, but not too professional?
Am I clear?
Did I word this idea in a way that’s enticing?
Is the call to action obvious?
Is the call to action easy and actionable?
And the list could go on and on.
It’s good to go through a quick checklist when sending an important email, but there comes a point when we need to click SEND and trust that our work is finished, complete, and impactful.
Dawdle long enough to craft a great email, but not long enough to get psyched out.
