When you hurt

What do you do when you hurt? What heals your pain?

What could heal your pain? What should heal your pain?

Hurt is one of those interesting emotions that usually has companions; loneliness, disappointment, fear…When it shows up it’s like an entourage of negativity came along and it can be pretty tough to sort through. Be patient. Settle in. Sort through all the emotions hurt brought to the party.

Where did we get the idea that going through hurt faster would help us heal? No, it’s when we go through pain THOROUGHLY that we actually heal.
