Modeling

In the last week my daughter is starting to show me myself…

She had a rag and was scrubbing the side of the bathroom tub.
She held up an object to her ear as if she were on the phone and started her fluent babble.
She picked up the remote, held it with two hands and started pushing various buttons with her thumbs as if she was texting.
She puts books on her lap and reads to herself.

I’m reminded that someone little is watching me and assuming the things I say and do should be modeled.

Which reminds me that someone big is watching me and assuming the things I say and do should be modeled.
